The Tajik Community Based Tourism Association (TATOS) is a young Association registered in the Republic of Tajikistan. The Central Asia Association was established within the framework of the European Union Invest III Program – Unification and strengthened associations of association-based tourism in Central Asia, community-based tourism in Central Asia, in relation to the development and involvement of intermediary organizations to support SMEs in the CBT sector in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Improving core skills in the management of intermediary organizations and the development of their CBT sectors, allows these organizations to increase their capacity to support small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as give impetus to the entire CBT sector. This, in turn, is not only enjoyed by tourists seeking beauty and adventure away from the usual natural routes, but the development and contraction of the economy of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan,

In conjunction with ECEAT, KATO, TATO and CATOS, ACTED initiated the creation of a national umbrella organization for CBT in Tajikistan, strengthened the activities and competence of our organizations, and encouraged them to keep a record so that they can expand their reach and influence, raise standards and disseminate information. on best practices and initiatives. In addition, ACTED and its partners will build the capacity of CBT in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, in addition, encourage new CBT initiatives and develop new economic activities, such as agritourism. In order to improve the quality as well as the quantity, frequency and duration of TOC, organized quality improvement and compliance trainings are conducted for the distribution of services in the field of accommodation, transportation and tours.

Finally, the project will create cases and cases between Tajik and Kyrgyz CBTs to empower our organizations to lobby for an improved business environment for the development of CBTs, and enable them to offer more holistic and superior tourism services. a regional conference on tourism and development of the Islamic Republic has been established, which will also be created to unite CBT on both sides of the border.

As the quantity and quality of CBT increase, this project expands income-generating opportunities and benefits intermediary organizations and small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as rural communities in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
